The setting you're after isn't buried in a team roster. It's tied to your settings preset, which is easy to overlook when you're getting started in MLB The Show 26. On PS5, highlight the current preset in User Settings and press Square to open its management options. Whether you're adjusting controls or checking out MLB 26 stubs, getting your profile set up first gives you one less thing to sort out later. Look for the preset name near the top of the screen; yours might say Casual.

Put your club first

Choose the team you want

Take a second to check the name before confirming. It's a quick step, but there's no reason to rush past the choice you came here to change. Confirm your selection and apply the changes before leaving the menu. Simply highlighting a club isn't the same as finishing the process.

Finish your profile setup

Once you've applied the change, return to the main menu and check that your preferred club is selected where expected.
